Lance Griffin

Lance Griffin from DeWinton, Alberta is very proud to be representing Canada on the 2006 WEG Reining Team. Lance is an ambassador of reining for Canadians and throughout Lance’s reining career he has achieved numerous milestones including being an integral member of the 2001 Nations Cup Canadian Gold Medal Team. Lance has also garnered, not once but twice, the coveted NRBC Derby Champion title and in 2000 Lance was ranked as the
 Top Non Pro in the World.  

In addition to Lance’s active participation in reining, he is also a committed sponsor and a generous volunteer of his time and resources. Lance is the founder and host of the 10th largest NRHA reining show in the world, the Canadian Reining Breeders Classic, held in Winnipeg, Manitoba each September. In addition, Lance is currently serving his third year on the NRHA Board and is also an active member of Reining Canada.  

Lance will be mounted on his stallion ‘Whiz N Tag Chex’, who has proven his natural ability with accumulating over $113,000 in reining earnings. Better know as Tag, this flashy sorrel stallion started his reining career with a bang and has never looked back. Tag was a 2002 NRHA Futurity Finalist and has claimed multiple Derby Champions including capturing the Champion title at largest reining show for 4,5 &6 year olds in North America – The National Reining Breeders Classic - twice.
