BLHA's Banff resident membership consists of Corral Lessees, Corral Wait List and Basic members.  BLHA administers 44 horse corrals, with stalls, tack rooms, a riding arena, picnic area and hay sales.  Activities are recreational trail riding in mountains.  Some members show competatively.  Instructors give riding lessons to all ages, especially juniors.

The original Steele's Scouts were raised in Calgary in 1885 by Inspector Samuel B. Steele of the NWMP.  This unit formed part of the Cavalry of Alberta Field Force during the Northwest Rebellion.  The troop has been judged to be historically correct as to appearance and drill.  New members always welcome.

Western Canadian Wagon Train
