Benefits of Individual or Family Membership with the AEF
Insurance
All AEF members automatically receive $5,000,000 Personal Liability insurance and $30,000 Accident, Death and Dismemberment coverage.
Additional insurance options are also available to purchase at preferred rates. Please see our insurance page for further details on both the included and optional coverage that is available.
Scholarships and Education
The AEF provides access to scholarships for youth, towards education and athlete development.
The AEF is a source of education; we offer Rider, Instructor, Coaching and Competition Official certification programs as well as providing general educational workshops and seminars.
Member's Magazine
Members receive our magazine "Alberta Bits" four times per year.
Programs
The AEF provides access to programs designed for recreational and competitive riders, drivers and vaulters
- Alberta Ride and Drive is an incentive Program offered to members for recreational riders/drivers to earn rewards
- Trail Supporter Program is a program designed around equestrian Stewardship in Action
- Live Outside the Box Program is designed to reward kids for staying active during the summer, and away from the tv, computer and game console.
Savings
Members can shop and save with our Member's Priority Program Business members, offering a discount to AEF members!
Information and Representation
Members can obtain information on everything from where to take lessons to where to go trail riding.
The AEF represents our members at all levels of Government, and with AFAC, AVMA and AB Trail Net. We are actively involved in trail issues: development, maintenance and more importantly, keeping them open for equestrian use.
