Ride & Drive

AEF Ride & Drive Program Logo

The Alberta Ride and Drive program rewards riders and drivers of horses for logging the hours they spend riding or driving! It is open to riders/drivers of all disciplines, including therapeutic, whether competing, schooling, or simply having fun with their horse! Even those who rent a horse are eligible to participate. There is no age restriction - its for the young and the young-at-heart! All that is required is your yearly AEF membership and a $20 annual registration fee. Then start counting the hours of fun and relaxation riding/driving your horses. The hours accumulate and continue to build up even if you have to re-register (this means you never loose your hours) The ultimate goal of 2,000 hours is worth striving for!

New Ride and Drive members receive a pen and logbook to record their riding or driving hours, with tear-out slips in the back to send in for rewards. Besides a wonderful sense of achievement, milestone hour badges, mugs, key chains, photo albums, hay bags and halters are just some of the prizes!

If you would like to join our Ride and Drive Program, please contact us or view the brochure which includes an application!

NEW AND IMPROVED! The Alberta Equestrian Federation is pleased to announce the extension of the Ride and Drive Program. Prizes will now be awarded at the 1300, 1600, and 2000 hour level mark. Those whom have already acheived the 1000 hour level mark are encouraged to continue on with the program from the 1000 hour level. Those new to the program and those who have not yet completed the program can now look forward to new great prizes and a higher goal to acheive (as well as much more time with your equine partner!) $20 annual Ride and Drive program fee is still applicable to register. For further questions please contact Erin Lundteigen, Coaching Administrator, at coaching@albertaequestrian.com or 403-253-4411 ext3.
