The Alberta Equestrian Federation (AEF) strives to provide funding where available to members that will help benefit the industry in Alberta. Below are the funding opportunities available for current club and facility members.
All applications contain specific criteria, please ensure you review in detail before applying.
Made available for educational clinics/events/programs or projects related to horse wellness and horse ownership. Clinics/events must be made available for all AEF members to attend.
Application: Club Funding Request
- Applications are accepted between January 1 – April 30 of each year
- Successful applicants will be notified by May 31
- Applications are accepted between June 1 – September 30 of each year
- Successful applicants will be notified by October 31
Earn Funds and Get Educated
Available to AEF club, business and stable/facility members to raise funds by hosting the Equine First Aid, Safe Trailering and/or Emergency Preparedness clinic.

Trail Supporter Funding
Available to current club or business members.

Deadline: May 15 of each year
Pump Up Your Levels
Available to facilities/stables who use current Equestrian Canada (EC) certified instructors/coaches.

Request for Donated Items
Available to AEF Members who are organizing an equine event and would like to request non-monetary items from the AEF.

Member Referral Program
Refer brand new AEF members for a credit of $5.00 per new member. Credits are applied to the cost of the clubs next calendar year’s membership.
To receive referral credits, the new member must submit your club or business full name and membership number when signing up.
