What an achievement! Cyndi Rowat and her pal Ridge have reached the 2,000-hour milestone for AEF’s Ride and Drive program.

Cyndi’s journey started with her son on his pony and herself on Ridge, a five-year-old Morgan gelding she began her journey with as a four-year-old. She began to track their riding as she started Ridge in the 25-mile competitive trail and endurance competitions. One of Cyndi’s favourite outings was a magically frosty, bright November day exploring the forestry west of Sundre, capturing photos of the wild mustangs. Cyndi also accrued mileage atop additional horses; some that were hers and some that were other people’s horses that she had amazing opportunities to train and compete on — including a 50-mile endurance ride during the pandemic! Cyndi is grateful to those who lent her their horses.

The AEF would like to acknowledge and thank Cyndi for her support of the Ride and Drive program. Because of members like Cyndi, our programs are successful – so thank you!
