Clinician Biography:

Raised in Salmon Arm, in south central British Columbia, Canada – at a time when several of Canada’s best coaches, riders & course designers were within a small radius of her own backyard – Rebecca recognized excellence in horsemanship early on.
Rebecca  understands that excellence is a function of daily habit. Her experience and success in eventing is underpinned by a lifelong admiration and appreciation for horses. She provides clinics, coaching and rider support for all ages & levels and develops horses for sale and provides expert opinion on potential purchases. She pays attention to all the little things that will help owners & riders to achieve their next big thing.
Rebecca has been developing coaching & clinician skills since her days in Pony Club (Level A). She integrates advice & support from eventings top veterinarians & farriers into her work.  Her 12-year affiliation with Team O’Connor is readily reflected in her own teaching & horsemanship, as is her experience at the world’s major international games and events.
She works with novice through advanced clients in her working student program, which has launched some of Canada’s current top riders into their upper level careers. She has also been a regular at the North American Junior & Young Rider Championships, first as a groom, then as a rider, and for the past five years as coach to Canada’s BC Young Rider squad.
Rebecca employs a system of progressive fundamentals to every equine athlete she works with, drawing on her experience at major games and competing at advanced levels, as well as her work with race horses, polo ponies, starting “babies” and development of many young horses through the ranks.
Rebecca is excited to work with Alberta riders interested in attending this clinic!

The AEF is proud to have collaborated with Vitality Equine and Cavallo Pulse Therapy to provide onsite equine therapy for participating equines within the clinic – at a special rate!

Vitality Equine owned by Brigitte Meyer, provides equine massage therapy to high performing equine athletes. Working alongside veterinarians and other horse professionals, Vitality Equine optimizes equine athlete performance through full body massage. Brigitte Meyer of Vitality Equine does not believe in a simple Band-Aid approach to therapy, and provides her clients with the tools necessary to help strengthen their athlete after each massage session for weeks to come. Each Vitality Equine massage includes a static and dynamic assessment of the equine athlete, an individualized full-body massage routine, a detailed report and a unique stretching program specifically designed to your specific athlete’s muscular needs.

Cavallo Pulse Therapy is designed for the equine client and can deliver the pulses at a much deeper level. PEMF was first designed to help bones and injuries heal at a much faster rate while reducing pain and inflammation. Cavallo Pulse Therapy is proud to have a table at our event so they can chat about all your equine partner’s therapy needs!

Please see the rider application below for more information.

Equestrian Fashion Outfitters – Red Deer will also be onsite for this event (weather permitting).  Equestrian Fashion Outfitters offers the best name brands of European and North American equestrian apparel for horse and rider with amazing savings of up to 70% off MSRP! They have been known in the industry for their high quality equestrian fashions with great price points! Their motto is that, “We provide our customers with the highest quality brands you know and love while introducing new and trendy products that will exceed your expectations.”
