Details: This event is for those individuals wishing to test for their instructor certification in the Saddle Seat discipline. Complete portfolios (prerequisites, lesson plans and EAPs need to be submitted by registration deadline).
Note: This is a private event for registrants only. Spectators and auditing is strictly prohibited.
Registration Deadline: September 14, 2018. IMPORTANT NOTE: Lesson plans and EAPs submitted late (after the registration deadline) will be subject to LATE marking fee of and additional $100. Lesson plans and EAPs submitted in improper formatting will be returned to the candidate for re-submission and subject the LATE marking fee will apply as well.

Saddle Seat Instructor Candidates in addition to submitting registration MUST submit the following by the registration deadline:
- ALL Instructor Prerequisites
- Emergency Action Plan (EAP) –
- Western Instructor Lesson Plans (Mounted, Unmounted) –
Note: Lesson plans MUST be submitted on a topic of the designated lists linked above. Candidates may choose their own topics. Lesson Plans and EAP’s should be submitted on single spaced typed paper in Arial or Calibri fonts in size 12, and may NOT be 2 sided sheets of paper. If being submitted electronically they should be submitted in Microsoft Word, or PDF format ONLY. They should be submitted together in one single document and not in multiple pages/attachments. and should be titled by First&LastName-Discipline-Level-Topic (ie. TrainerBob-English-InstructorMounted-LessonPlan). The templates provided above are meant to be used as a guideline. Candidates are welcome to use the template itself or wish to use certain elements of it, and add their own.
Note: All documents must be submitted by mail, email, or fax – or may be printed and dropped off in person at the AEF office. Pictures taken with camera, iphone, ect of documents will not be accepted – effective immediately – July 2015
