Learn the complete massage of the horse along with anatomy, lymphatic drainage, colic relief, massage for common issues, safe stretches and much more! Learn from a teacher with over 30 years of massage experience.

Full color book authored by the instructor is included in the course. Graduates receive a certificate at the end of class: “Certified Equine Massage Therapist”.

Northern Alberta Coaching Clinic – Sandridge Stables @ Sandridge Stables

The coaching clinic is an intensive, fun, long weekend of coaching development covering the teaching format and material required by the Coaching Association of Canada and Equine Canada for certification. Get ready for your evaluation by participating in, observing, and teaching riders of a variety of backgrounds and levels. This clinic is excellent preparation for the Coaching Evaluations and you will have opportunities to plan and deliver lessons in the required format with feedback to improve your lesson structure and content. The purpose of this clinic is to help you be successful in taking the coaching evaluation/exam.  Some topics covered include:

  • Long Term Equestrian Development
  • Lesson Planning
  • Writing a Lesson Plan
  • Analyzing Performance and Making Effective Corrections
  • Preparing for the Mounted Lesson
  • Presenting the Mounted Lesson
  • Creating Effective Demonstrations
  • Safe Sport
  • Concussion Protocols / Making Headway

The coaching camps are full-day sessions of coaching development covering the outcomes required by Equine Canada and the National Coaching Certification programs. Student riders are provided.  Teaching practice to prepare for successfully achieving the coaching evaluation/exam is a major component.

NOTE: The AEF Coaching Evaluations are separate and additional to the Coaching Clinic.  You would register directly with the Alberta Equestrian Federation for the Evaluation.  This Coaching Clinic is not mandatory but is meant to be a preparatory aid to successfully accomplishing the Evaluation.
